The DS-8B3 Departmental Switch offers eight universal ports capable of auto-sensing 1 Gb/s and 2 Gb/s.

Connectivity features include:

-8 ports, universal (E_Port, F_Port, and FL_Port).

-ISL Trunking to other B Series switches: Up to four ports per trunk; up to 8.5 Gb/s per ISL trunk.
-Data traffic types: unicast, multicast (256 groups), and broadcast.

-Universal ports, which self-configure as E_Ports, F_Ports, or FL_Ports.

-Available BB_Credits (buffer-to-buffer credits):

• 16 per F_Port

• 26 per E_Ports

• 27 for L1 mode

• 60 for L2 mode

Note: L1 mode requires the Extended Fabric License.

-Support for wide range of value-added applications, including:
